Maureen Petrosky is an author, professional chef, writer/ editor, instructor and food stylist. Maureen makes regular appearances on air as a food and wine expert, and as a lifestyle expert, producing and conducting segments relating to hot topics in the culinary industry. Maureen has appeared numerous times on NBC’s The TODAY Show, CNN Headline News, CNN, FOX News Channel, the Food Network, and broadcast network affiliates across the country, representing her own projects as well as appearing as an on-air spokesperson for Better Homes and Gardens, and as a Contributing Editor for Bon Appétit magazine. Maureen has also been featured on numerous radio programs and regularly talks about food and wine for Public Radio’s WHYY.
On top of that, she’s just plain thirsty, and also this week’s Thursday Thirsty Girl.
In addition to working with several celebrity chefs as a contributor and editor to their culinary and wine books, Maureen authored her first solo lifestyle book, The Wine Club, A Month-by-Month Guide to Learning About Wine with Friends. The book includes her best recipes as well as wine and entertainment tips.
Most recently Maureen works with chef Marcus Samuelsson, as Founding Editor for www.foodrepublic.com, for which she contributes food and wine content daily. She also worked the launch of www.themotherboard.com. She also has a regular wine column for Wainscot Media which has a circulation of over 300K.
Maureen began her television career in the roles of Executive Chef, Culinary Producer, and Food Stylist on several Food Network shows including Good Eats, Cooking Thin, Cooking Live, Emeril Live, East Meets West, Taste, Chef du Jour, Hot Off the Grill, Boy Meets Grill, and Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee. Maureen has worked as a Food Stylist, both in film and print.
Throughout her Culinary Arts and Wine career, Maureen has been recognized by Disney Inc., Food and Wine Magazine, The California Vintners Association, The Culinary Institute of America, and named the first “Female Chef Extraordinaire” by the international organization, Les Marmitons. Maureen is also a member of the New York chapter of the highly prestigious Les Dames d’ Escoffier International.
Maureen holds a certification from the Master Court of Sommeliers and also completed the Sterling School of Spirits. She is a graduate of Villanova University and The Culinary Institute of America, where she also completed a Fellowship at their award winning American Bounty restaurant. Maureen resides in Bucks County, PA, with her husband Michael and twin boys Christopher and Elliot.
