“My Passion; teaching you to love wine like I do,” that’s this week’s Thursday Thirsty Girl, Deb Bailey’s philosophy.
Deb loved wine before she was actually legal. When she describes “uncorking” herself it basically means she uncorks a lot of wine, letting herself experience all the things she loves about life and wine, and teaching others.
As the owner of Bailey Bistro LLC, Deb works as a freelance wine consultant and is working on her French Wine Scholar post nominal certification. Wine is personal, that’s why she has the passion. Deb has over 25 years of experience in the wine industry, some of which includes Cellar Manager, Sommelier, and prior Wine & French Bistro owner. Her goal is always to learn more, however it’s been said, nothing is worth learning if you can’t share it. Now her passion is teaching others, always creating a non-intimidating, non-complicated environment for her clients. At the end of the day she wants her clients to identify their palate pleasures. Her passion for wine becomes contagious!
After being diagnosed with a disc disease in 2000, neck surgery and a stroke that left her having to learn how to reuse her right side. Her in-the-works book gives insights to woman owners on preparing, protecting and positioning yourself in a wine business while overcoming adversity even when the “blend” isn’t quite what you expected.
Cheers to your perfect blend!
