Cathy’s a Thirsty Girl because she’s into food and wine, but that’s not all. This week’s Thursday Thirsty Girl has been a huge asset in gathering Texas Thirsty Girls for our Thirsty Girl LIVE Event Tour that’s heading to both Austin and Dallas next week (April 13th and April 14th). She currently works as at a cooking school as a Culinary Consultant but Cathy has worn a number of hats in her career including daily newspaper journalist, cooking school consultant, food writer, public relations manager and cooking school director for Central Market, and as Media Relations Coordinator for Whole Foods Market global public relations team.

As a culinary consultant, she handles public relations, marketing and cooking school program development. Cathy has worked with numerous celebrity chefs and cookbook authors. She is past president of the International Association of Culinary Professionals serving on the IACP Board of Directors for seven years. She is president of the Texas Hill Country Wine & Food Festival, the state’s premier wine and food festival. Cathy is a founding member and former president of Austin’s chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier, and has been a multi-year judge for the James Beard Foundation Restaurant Awards. Bottoms up to that!
